Sharptail Moray

Sharptail Eels are from 1 to 3 feet (30 to 90 cm) long and found at depths of 5-40 feet (2-12 m). This and most of the Sharptail Eels we have seen are out on the ocean floor swimming freely. It is quite an amazing site to see these lovely creatures slithering gracefully along the bottom, whether on rocks, sandy bottom or sea grass beds. It is always exciting to see one of these beautiful and graceful eels while scuba diving or snorkeling.
