Itinerary

ARRIVAL DAY - SATURDAY
Check-in will be at Sandy Lane Yacht Club, Glossy Bay Marina, Canouan Island. With a welcome cocktail in hand, we'll anchor out in the bay and enjoy our first dinner aboard under the stars - the adventure has begun!



CRUISING DAY 1 - SUNDAY
After a delicious breakfast onboard, our Captain will go ashore and complete the formalities of clearing out of St Vincent and the Grenadines and we'll then set sail for the island of Carriacou (part of the nation of Grenada).

We'll stop off at Hillsborough, on the north-west of the island, where we'll clear into Grenadian territory and have lunch aboard before making our way to Paradise Island, an uninhabited tiny island just to the west of Carriacou. At the end of a totally relaxing first day, we'll head back to the boat for Captain's Cocktails and a delicious gourmet dinner on board underneath the stars.

CRUISING DAY 2 - MONDAY
We'll have an early breakfast today, before raising the anchor and heading south yet again; our destination today is "The Spice Island" - gorgeous Grenada!

Our first visit to mainland Grenada will be at the secluded little bay of Halifax at Calypso Island, Grenada. Here we have the opportunity to anchor "stern to", allowing us to get really close to shore and the beautiful vibrant reef. We'll snorkel and explore on land before we enjoy Captain's Cocktails and another magnificent dinner prepared by your chef.

CRUISING DAY 3 - TUESDAY
After a leisurely breakfast this morning, we move to Dragon Bay to snorkel or dive the Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park, Jason deCaires Taylor's underwater garden, widely acclaimed as the first of its kind. The site is now listed as one of National Geographic's 25 Wonders of the World.

After lunch we head south to the deep calm waters of Prickly Bay, where we'll drop anchor off L'Anse Aux Epines. We'll go ashore and explore this beautiful quiet beach and swim or snorkel in the late afternoon sunshine.

Back to the boat and there's time for Captains Cocktails before going ashore again to dine at one of the many fine restaurants L'anse Aux Epines has to offer.

CRUISING DAY 4 - WEDNESDAY
Today we'll up-anchor before breakfast and sail round to Grenada's most famous beach - the fabulous Grand Anse (voted "Best Caribbean Beach 2018" by USA Today's Readers Choice). This stunning two-mile long sweep of powder white sand more than lives up to its reputation, and is lapped by the clearest turquoise water you could ever imagine.

We have the whole day to explore Grenada and visit its spice markets and many nutmeg processing facilities. You will have the opportunity to do an island tour and visit a chocolate factory before returning to the yacht for lunch. Those that would like to do some more exploring can go ashore in Grenada's capital, St George's, for the afternoon - or we can just relax on the the beautiful beach with a cocktail in hand.

CRUISING DAY 5 - THURSDAY
Another early breakfast today, before setting off back up north along the west coast of Grenada towards Carriacou.

We'll arrive at White Island around mid-day, with its own little sugar-loaf hill and a totally pristine reef. We'll anchor here and spend the rest of the day on the beach ... swimming, snorkelling and beach-combing. Just before sunset we'll move the boat the short distance round the point to our anchorage for the night - the picture-postcard-perfect and very aptly named "Paradise Beach" (an ideal location to take mouth-watering selfies to send home to your friends). After Captain's Cocktails we'll enjoy a bonfire on the beach at a local beach bar before our final gourmet dinner of the week aboard, in this idyllic and tranquil location.

CRUISING DAY 6 - FRIDAY
After breakfast this morning we'll head further back north, up the west coast of Carriacou, and will arrive at Clifton on Union Island, where we'll clear back into St Vincent and the Grenadines around mid-day. We'll spend the afternoon here, wandering around the "capital of Union" with its quaint little shops and relaxing in the sunshine, and later we'll move to Canouan for dinner ashore and our last night aboard.

DEPARTURE DAY - SATURDAY
All too soon it's departure day, and after breakfast you will take a three minute taxi ride to the Canouan airport at 09:00 to connect with your outgoing flight. First though, we swap email addresses and photos, and then we send you home with great memories and anticipation for your next TradeWinds' sailing vacation.
