SNORKEL Bucco Reef - Tobago

Outside of Bon Accord Lagoon, just minutes from the airport at Crown Point in Tobago's largest and best known reef. Each day tour boats bring visitors for safe and easy snorkeling on this very large and protected reef. The SailDives charter in Tobago starts and ends in Bon Accord lagoon with Bucco reef a short dinghy ride away. The reef is very large, some sections with mostly hard corals but with the main section containing a mixture of soft and hard corals. Many juvenile species can be found here as well as large schools of tang, doctorfish and surgeonfish, hamlets, damselfish, and parrortfish. Shown are some rarer parrotfish like the yellowtail parrotfish as well as the Reef Parrotfish and Saddled Parrotfish, both are Brazilian varieties that extend to Tobago as it lies in the far Southeast corner of the Caribbean Sea. An adult and juvenile French Angelfish are filmed as is a white spotted filefish is filmed, but trunkfish, cowfish, blennies and triggerfish have are regularly seen as well.
