SCUBA The Stav - Barbados

The wreck of the SS Stavronikita is one of the highlights of any Scuba trip in Barbados. The wreck is very big with lots of coral and encrusting sponges. Penetration is not possible becasue of the deteriorating conditions of the structure some areas have already collasped. Barbados was a stop over for us for a couple days to dive there then onward to Sail and Dive in Bequia and the Grenadines. We had arrived right after a tropical storm that flooded the island and the dive site was quite green from the run off. The colors have been adjusted. We enjoyed diving with Peter at West Side Scuba Centre. He helped re-connect us with our battery charger for the UW lights I left at the hotel in Barbados. Next time we are in Barbados we will dive with them again.
